We are a young family about to create an out of the box solution to finding an affordable and sustainable way of entering the property market.
We would like to build a tiny house on a truck.
This will enable us to rent land and live in our tiny house saving money on rent further enabling us to save and purchase our own land. We then plan to stay in our tiny house while we build our own house over time and avoid overextending ourselves with a huge mortgage.
We estimate the tiny house will cost between $25 to 35K. We started using this platform to help kick start our journey to raise enough funds to purchase the truck ($4k to $6k), and some initial materials depending on truck cost to get started. From this point we will save to buy materials and try and incorporate recycled materials.
We don't expect a free handout and are willing to offer rEwan's in exchange for donations. Our lease is running out soon and were hoping to extend on a month by month basis until house is complete. We are eager to start saving money.
All donations will get a cuddle and or virtual positive vibes.
We can't offer a completion date right now but will create a fb group showing the progress of our build.

UPDATE: 24/10/16 We've put an end date of 31/1/17 to reach the 6K goal for Truck but will extend this crowdfunding campaign after this date so that if anyone does want to contribute towards the build after the truck is brought they can. If you also have materials, tools and or labour to offer we'd welcome it with open arms and keen to barter services in return.
UPDATE: 18/11/16 We have bought a truck hooray! Thanks to all our supporters so far. We will leave this campaign open for anyone who wants to contribute (in return for a reward) towards the build. Alternatively, if you'd like to contribute towards the build in labour, materials etc. please contact Sallie at email@example.com.
UPDATE: 31/12/16 The truck is prepped and the Sketch Up Model is nearly complete and we should be able to start framing in January. We are looking for sponsors to help us complete the build and would be grateful for any help.
