Our friend Brad Waterhouse is the sort of guy you want on your team, he is generous of heart and would do anything for anybody. He has been a CFA volunteer for over 18 years in Maryknoll, Victoria and has dedicated a great portion of his life to being of service to others.
The photo pictured (Credit to Keith Pakenham) whilst it is iconic to Black Saturday it also shows Brad at a time where he was fighting not for his own life as he is now, but for the lives and livelihoods of people like you and me.
Brad now needs our help
In 2015, Brad was diagnosed with cancer and was fortunately able to beat it with his upbeat, positive attitude, effective treatment and the love of his family and friends. He went into temporary remission, however was further diagnosed with multiple inoperable brain tumours and stomach cancer last year in 2016.
What time Brad has he would like to spend with his beautiful daughters Hannah 10 years and Bethany 13 years. He has been discharged from hospital in order to create some lasting memories with them and work on his bucket list. Brad deserves to spend and enjoy this time with his girls to the fullest.
We are asking that individuals, agencies and businesses please consider contributing to this campaign. If we all donate whatever we can afford right now, no matter how small, the result will be life changing for this family. Together we can do something wonderful for a man who deserves to spend his remaining time free of financial stress.
Please feel free to forward this link on to anyone who may be willing to contribute. We have all been touched in one way or another by cancer, maybe consider donating on behalf of a loved one who also fought the good fight against this terrible disease.
Brad is a very proud man who is reluctant to accept gifts of financial support from all of you lovely, caring people. All monies raised however will be forwarded to him at the conclusion of this brief campaign, we know that he thanks you from the bottom of his heart for the opportunities the funds will afford him and his family.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
