After auditioning successfully with a recording, I have been accepted in to the "Internationales Gesangsstudio Berlin" to study with the famous baritone Cesare Colona and colleagues in April 2017. Apart from taking part in intensive singing study in the bel canto style, stage craft, and the german language, I intend to strengthen my networks and to successfully audition with the view of professional recognition and employment as a dramatic mezzo-soprano in Europe and the UK.

I hope to stay in Europe for as long as I can to make the most of this opportunity. I have some connections in Germany, via my singing teacher here in Australia, who had a successful career in Europe, who have offered to help me in any way they can in obtaining auditions. The length of time I spend in Europe is dependant on the amount of funds I am able to raise.  I am partly self funding this journey and will also be doing some fundraising concerts to aid my travel and living expenses.

Any contribution you are able to make would be greatly appreciated and would be used toward the following:

Airfare- Flexible ticket $2800

Other travel costs- flight to UK from Berlin for auditions- up to $600 AU

Further train travel within Germany and surrounds for auditions

Audition costs/Agency costs- 20-30 euro (approximately $28-42 AU) per audition

Singing lessons- 60 euro (approx. $84 AU) per hour

German Language course- 225 Euro (over $330 AU) for 4 week intensive course.

Accommodation costs- 55 euros (approximately $77 AU) based on the average cost per night on Air bnb unit in Berlin

Visa- $85- 160 AU depending on the length of time you are granted.

I estimate that I would need about $800 AU a week to safely cover accommodation, living expenses, travel in Berlin/ extended travel to auditions, & study costs.

You may also contribute to my campaign by coming to one of my three fundraising concerts- Berlin Bound.
