Following 3 SOLD OUT seasons in Queensland, the Legless Bar is heading to Adelaide Fringe in February 2018 with some wonderful support from the Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund.
We are taking 15 people (cast, creatives and supporting artists - all will be working their hearts out whilst in Adelaide) so we need to raise a few more $$ to help us pay for everything.
We have received $5000 funding from Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund which will cover the costs of our venue hire, equipment hire, registration fees as well as providing some funding support for our marketing and publicity campaign.
To give you a bit of a run-down: The 'real' cost of taking 15 people to Adelaide for 12 days (not including wages or venue costs) is approx $27 100.
WE ARE HOPING TO RAISE $10 000 through this campaign.
This crowd funding will help to pay for:
Accommodation 15 people: $11 000 (for 12 nights). Booked and paid for in advance.
Flights 15 people (return) approx $300pp: Total $4 500
Transport of artists, creatives and supporting artists to and from venue and accessible transport whilst in Adelaide. We will be using maxi taxi's for the majority of our trips. The quote we have received for this is approx $600 - $800 for 24 trips (2 per day).
Day to Day living costs whilst in Adelaide @ $60pp/day Total $10 800.
We have already raised $5800 in private donations to go towards the trip - but still need to raise approx $20 000 to cover all of these costs.
This is our first big adventure as a company and we are aiming to make it as smooth as possible. With your support we can take our show to Adelaide... and not go bankrupt!
But seriously, we are a not for profit organisation and Adelaide Fringe Festival was on the top of our bucket list as a company.
Who are we?
Indelabilityarts is an inclusive professional theatre company based in Brisbane Qld, providing artistic opportunities for artists and community members who identify as having a disability. Our professional ensemble of artists, create original work that communicates the lived experience of each artist across a range of performance modes to challenge the perceptions of audiences and industry alike. Our practice fosters acceptance and understanding for those who usually feel marginalised, discriminated against, or excluded from arts practice so that they can access and make work that both reflects their experience, represents them and caters to their needs. We have a great sense of humour, we love to challenge pre-conceptions and pretty much nothing is out of bounds!!
